What it does

There is no ratchet to reset. The spring-loaded handle snaps open after every cut, so one hand can work through a run of PEX under a sink.

It takes PEX-A, PEX-B and PEX-C from 1/8 to 1 inch, plus PPR, PE, PP and rubber hose. The shear blade leaves a square end with little burr.

Good to know before you buy

  • It is not for PVC or metal pipe. For PVC take a ratchet cutter.
  • Your grip supplies all the force, so 1 inch tube takes a firm squeeze.
  • Stop at 1 inch. Larger tube wants the 301L or the DM-317-PC.
