What it does

The 6 inch size reaches where a bar clamp will not. The pads swivel, so they sit flat on angled or uneven stock and do not dig in.

Set the screw, squeeze to lock, press the lever to release. It is carbon steel with a nickel finish.

Good to know before you buy

• The throat is shallow at this size. For deep reach take the 9.5 inch.
• The pads can mark soft wood. Use a scrap under them.
• At 6 inches the clamping force is modest. Heavy stock wants the larger clamp.
